Introducing: Canti’s Corner

If you follow BFREE on social media, you're no stranger to the Canti Cam: videos and photos collected by Head Park Ranger, Sipriano Canti, revealing what our wildlife gets up to when no one is around!

Over the years, our camera traps have caught all sorts of quirky wildlife drama. This week, we're featuring an Ocelot caught during a night time stalk, and a Tayra beating the mid-afternoon slump with a stroll in the bush.

On July 5th, this Ocelet went for a middle of the night stroll through BFREE's grounds.

All three of the videos and photos above were taken in the same spot-- in the first video, a Tapir was seen trekking through BFREE's property. Only a few days later, a jaguar was captured on candid camera following the same route! But this hasn't put off Belize's national animal-- the back end of a Tapir was captured in the place exactly one week later.
