High school students and teachers, along with college students and professors are able to schedule visits through our educational offerings. Some natural history and eco-tour visitors are able to come to BFREE each year as well based upon availability. BFREE also welcomes visiting researchers. However, every visitor to BFREE must be scheduled to come. BFREE is not open to the general public or able to be accessed without scheduled transportation from BFREE staff to the field station.

US for BFREE is a Florida non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. BFREE is dedicated to the preservation and conservation of the Maya Mountains Massif which includes the Bladen Nature Reserve as well as numerous other protected areas comprising close to 1.5 million acres of lowland tropical forest through environmental education, outreach, training, and research. As a small nonprofit, we depend on consistency so that our work can continue. By becoming a BFREE donor you are helping us build strength and stability in our work to conserve the biodiversity and cultural heritage of Belize. All donations are tax-deductible.

BFREE is located in Punta Gorda, Belize. It is not easily accessible and visitation must be scheduled. The access road is nearly 7 miles and has extremely difficult terrain.
