Example Field Course Day at BFREE

faculty-led field course rainforest

Wake up to the sound of howler monkeys and then go on a hike to the birding tower. After, eat a delicious and freshly prepared breakfast, followed by a walk in the cacao fields to learn about agroforestry. Next enjoy a tasty lunch and spend the afternoon learning about wildlife conservation with the Hicatee Turtle. Spend the late afternoon taking a dip in the river or napping in a hammock before you dine on a delectable dinner with staff and friends. Once dark, experience the ultimate rainforest hike, the night hike! Finally drift off to sleep in your cabin listening to the wind through the palms.
