Saving the Rainforest one Chocolate Bar at a Time!
Located at the Heart of the Maya Mountains in Southern Belize lies the Bladen Branch of the Monkey River. Flowing off rugged limestone and volcanic slopes, the Bladen passes through the old-growth tropical rainforest where the ancient Maya civilization grew a pure variety of Criollo Cacao trees. Designated Heirloom Fine Flavor in 2016, this wild harvested chocolate is grown under the shade of the rainforest on BFREE’s private reserve in Belize. We carefully ferment and sundry our beans, then craft our chocolate in small batches. Crioco Cacao proudly offers this rare experience to you.
